Kate’s Story
Soft crunch under foot, lapping water and the distant bark of my dogs chasing the pipers along the sand, this is a perfect moment. I love to take a deep breath and relax, Pembrokeshire is the place to be rooted and to create. I live a very selfish life as an artist as I paint for myself, luckily I have found collectors in France, the US and UK who wish to take home my work.
Sky Dreams

I am not full of angst or darkness. I want to celebrate the light, the wild outside world, the fresh air and freedom. The love of living on the Welsh coast, where the edges are so wonderful to capture - the sky, sea and sand, is my passion. I often include texture in my work to represent the natural elements, building up layers underneath, experimenting with mark making such as nearly dry brushes against flowing smooth colour or creating a paint jigsaw with a palette knife. I buzz with anticipation as I stand in front of a blank canvas and remember how lucky I am.
I have lived near St David's for nearly 15 years and I am still finding challenges and ideas to explore in my adopted home.
